Success Stories #Anthropy

Inspiring Reflection and Connection at Anthropy 2023

About

This initiative aimed at exploring meaningful ways to connect participants with one another while reflecting on their roles as stewards for future generations. The rainforest biome at the Eden Project served as the setting for this transformative experience.

Objective

To inspire conference attendees to reflect on what it means to be a good ancestor through their work and lives, whilst fostering meaningful connections.

Solution

We designed and facilitated a 45-minute guided walk through the rainforest biome, leading groups of 30 participants on a journey of reflection and dialogue:

  • Guided Reflections: Story-driven questions prompted attendees to consider their legacy and the impact of their actions on future generations.

  • Immersive Environment: The rainforest biome provided an evocative and symbolic backdrop, enhancing the reflective atmosphere.

  • Shared Experiences: Participants engaged in active listening and meaningful conversations, culminating at the very top of the biome to symbolise reaching new heights of understanding.

Result

The experience left a profound impression on participants. Many reported feeling deeply inspired by the combination of nature, storytelling, and collective reflection.

The walk fostered stronger connections among attendees, instilled a sense of purpose, and aligned with the conference’s overarching themes. Attendees left the experience with renewed clarity and a commitment to being good ancestors.
