Celebrating Deep Kindness with our Ambassadors
15 Apr
Every April, Reboot the Future celebrates Golden Month – a time to reflect on the Golden Rule: treat others and the planet as you wish to be treated.
This year, we’re shining a light on the people who carry this value into their work each day – our incredible Ambassadors.
We asked:
“How do you bring the Golden Rule into your work?”
and
“What’s one tip for carrying kindness forward?”
Featured Article: Kindness as Regeneration
By Sara Roversi, Founder, Future Food Institute
For me, the Golden Rule—"treat others as you wish to be treated"—extends beyond human interactions. It is a call to respect and regenerate the ecosystems that sustain us, honor ancestral wisdom, and cultivate a future where both people and the planet thrive together.
My work with the Future Food Institute is rooted in this philosophy. I see food as a powerful connector, a tool to bridge cultures, empower communities, and drive systemic change. Through living labs, integral ecology approaches, and regenerative business strategies, we are not only minimizing harm but actively healing the land, revitalizing local economies, and fostering a culture of deep kindness—one that includes nature as an essential stakeholder.
If I were to share one tip for carrying kindness forward, it would be this: move from sustainability to regeneration. It is not enough to do less harm—we must actively restore and replenish. Whether in business, policymaking, or daily life, every action can be a seed for a more just and flourishing world.
How our Ambassadors live the Golden Rule
We asked our ambassadors: How do you bring the Golden Rule into your work?
Here’s what they shared:
-
Most mornings I take the dog for a walk and make a point of wishing people I pass a good morning. Many are the same people every day who now smile and wish me a good morning in return. Kindness grows

For me, the golden rule lies at the heart of all. After centuries of advancing the interests of humankind by dominating and exploiting the rest of life on earth, with increasingly devastating consequences, it is now abundantly clear – at this very late stage – that it is only through co-creation and a joyful recognition of our co-dependency with the rest of life on Earth that we will be able to secure any kind of viable future for humankind. Treat others and the planet as we'd wish to be treated”.
