What would it look like if our leaders adopted the Golden Rule?
20 Jun
Here at Reboot the Future, we're always thinking about the Golden Rule: Treat others and the planet as you would wish to be treated.
Despite being a dominant mantra among philosophers and prophets of all world religions throughout history, we are now living with the consequence of it having been abandoned from our leadership: business operates with a distinct lack of compassion, there is growing inequality, an impeding climate emergency, to name a few.
In a time where being better to one another and the planet has never been more crucial, we're partnering with Franklin University Switzerland to offer a one-day Masterclass on Leadership & the Golden Rule.
Paul Polman (pictured below), Chair of the International Chamber of Commerce, The B Team and Vice Chairman of the UN Global Compact, will joined by Kim Polman, Chair and CEO of Reboot the Future, among others, to address Reboot the Future's key concepts of Imaginal Cells, the Golden Rule, and the ways leadership can incorporate them to shift mindsets and better the world.
There will be discussions from a panel of inspiring change-makers; people already embodying the Golden Rule and acting in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, on organizational leadership, the perspectives of future generations and how to connect the 'I' to the 'We'.
Anyone can participate in what will be an incredible, intergenerational learning experience - an opportunity to learn from social entrepreneurs, academics, researchers and government/NGO representatives about making our world a more compassionate place.
